Swedish Candy Canes - Pack of 20 Assorted Flavors
- Description
Polkagris, Sweden’s iconic red-and-white candy cane, has roots in the entrepreneurial spirit of Amalia Eriksson. In the 1850s, after losing her husband, Amalia began making and selling the peppermint candy sticks in the small town of Gränna. Keeping her recipe a secret, she built a successful business that was later carried on by her daughter. Eventually, the recipe spread, and making Polkagris became a beloved tradition among the women of Gränna.
